The soy wax we use is all natural and is derived from soybeans that are grown by American farmers. Soy candles are cleaner burning as opposed to paraffin which is made from petroleum and emits harmful chemicals when burned. Soy wax burns longer and is biodegradable.

CANDLE BURNING BEST PRACTICES:

  • Make sure to trim the wick to ¼ inch each time before burning.

  • When first burning your candle, make sure to let it burn long enough until the wax pool reaches the sides of the jar. This will keep the candle from "tunneling" down the middle.

  • After burning, the surface of your candle may be rough or bumpy. This is not a defect but is a natural characteristic of soy wax and will not affect the candle's use.

  • Always keep a burning candle within sight.

  • Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.

  • Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets.

  • Be sure the candle-holder is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

  • Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

  • Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans and air currents.

  • Don’t burn a candle all the way down. Extinguish the flame if it comes too close to the holder or container.

  • Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high.  The candle isn’t burning properly. Cool, trim the wick, then check for drafts before relighting.
